Mr. Black is a horror short story written by Brian Barnett. It is about a legendary future Hall of Fame pitcher who is closing the final chapter of his baseball career. In the locker room he pleads with Mr. Black, the man who granted him his stellar career, for just one more year to repair his image, but to no avail.
